Zach LaVine Wins the NBA Dunk Contest

Maybe the Dunk Contest isn’t dead after all. At least not after the show Minnesota Timberwolves rookie Zach LaVine put on in New York Saturday night.

LaVine’s first dunk of the night went for a perfect 50, but all four dunks had everyone talking about Jason Richardson, Vince Carter and the Dunk Contests of yesteryear.

The other contestants never really stood a chance. Mason Plumlee and Giannis Antetokounmpo were eliminated in the first round, as Victor Oladipo joined LaVine in the finals. But there was never a doubt who the winner would be on this night.
