World’s Second Ranking at Stake in Cadillac Championships

PGA Today

When Bubba finishes second during the WGC-Cadillac Championships at Doral he wins The Masters. A second-place finish for six other golfers might result in becoming the World’s No.2-ranked golfer (behind Rory McIlroy) this weekend.

Joining Watson in the race to be second in the world rankings will be Henrik Stenson, Adam Scott, Jim Furyk, Jason Day, Sergio Garcia, and Justin Rose. Each of these golfers has a mathematical chance at landing behind McIlroy with a win at Doral.

Winning tournaments is nice, but every PGA player and golf fan is turning their focus to next month’s Masters at Augusta National.

Each and every one of the Top-50 ranked golfers will be competing in this week’s tournament for the first time since the 2013 PGA Championship at Kiawah Island.

Rory McIlroy will be playing with Bubba Watson and Henrik Stenson for the first two rounds. The group is set to tee off at No. 10 tomorrow at 11:33 EST
