Wisconsin Badgers Off to Best Start in School History

Wisconsin lands at No. 5 again this week.

College Basketball Today

Bo knows winning basketball.

At 25-2, the Badgers are off to the best start in program history, but the Wisconsin coach has his sights set on a much bigger goal–raising the school’s first national championship banner in men’s basketball since 1941. The Badgers beat arch-rival Minnesota on Saturday by ten points and face No. 14 Maryland on the road tomorrow night before hosting Michigan State on Sunday’s Senior Day.

John Calipari’s undefeated Kentucky Wildcats were the unanimous top-ranked team in the country for the fourth straight week and have been atop the poll all season long.

The Badgers lost to Kentucky in the 2014 Final Four and are ranked No. 5 in the Associated Press Top 25 poll for the sixth consecutive week. The top-seven has remain unchanged for six straight weeks, the first time that’s been the case since 1992-1993.

Northern Iowa, which was highlighted in last week’s FanRagSports News segment, climbed up to No. 10, the school’s highest ever ranking this week.
