Behind the pitching of Walker Buehler and John Kilichowski and the bat of Rhett Wiseman, the Vanderbilt Commodores are on their way to another College World Series final after a 7-1 victory over TCU.
The defending national champions will play the winner of Virginia and Florida in a three game series on Monday. Vandy beat Virginia to win the national championship a year ago.
Buehler allowed four hits and one run with eight strikeouts in 6.2 innings before Kilichowski relieved him and limited TCU to just one hit.
Vandy scored runs early and often, putting up all seven in the first five innings. Wiseman singled and then homered in the 4th inning.
The win was Vanderbilt’s 50th of the season.
