It took extra innings but the Minnesota Twins completed a two-game sweep of the San Diego Padres with a 3-1 win in 10 innings Wednesday night. Outfielder Eddie Rosario was the hero, as his two-run home run ended the game in walk-off fashion.

It’s become commonplace for players to be showered with buckets of water upon reaching home plate, but chewing gum may be a different deal. Prior to getting hit with the bucket of water, Rosario took a bucket of Double Bubble to the face as he approached home plate.

With the win, the Twins maintained a solid grip on the second American League wild-card spot, holding a 2½-game lead on the Los Angeles Angels.
