New York Mets farmhand Tim Tebow was hit in the head with a pitch Saturday as the Class-A Advanced St. Lucie Mets took on the Tampa Yankees.

Tebow was hit in the ninth by Yankees minor leaguer Trevor Lane but was able to remain in the game and eventually came around to score the team’s only run in a 5-1 loss.

Tebow has found more success at the plate since being promoted to Class-A Advanced St. Lucie and entered slashing .248/.313/.407 with five homers in 43 games.
