UConn will host Villanova in the start of a home-and-home series during the 2017-18 season, sources told FanRag Sports on Thursday.

The dates and venues for the series are still to be determined.

Villanova will host UConn in a return game during the 2018-19 season.

The old Big East rivals have played once since realignment, with the Huskies beating the Wildcats in the 2014 NCAA Tournament.

Villanova is currently ranked number one in the latest AP Poll.
