Since beginning his NHL career with the Tampa Bay Lightning during the 2014-15 season, defenseman Slater Koekkoek had yet to score a goal in 42 appearances for the franchise. With five assists on his career ledger, Koekkoek finally got into the scoring column during Thursday’s game against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Koekkoek’s goal 6:07 into the first opened the scoring for the Lightning.
