After weeks of questions about their health, both Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman will be healthy and active for the New England Patriots today in their Divisional Round matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs:

Edelman had broken his foot during the Patriots’ Week 10 game against the New York Giants, and has not played since that mid-November injury. Edelman finished the regular season with 692 receiving yards over nine games, or a career-best 76.9 yards per game.

Gronkowski had been probably with knee and back injuries since a limited performance in the Patriots’ Week 17 game against the Miami Dolphins, in which he caught just two passes on seven targets for 18 yards. Across 15 games this season, Gronkowski finished 12th among all players in receiving yards, including first among tight ends. At just age 26, Gronkowski has the 25th-most receiving yards among all tight ends in league history.

In Weeks 1-10, when Edelman was healthy, the Patriots were third in the league in yards per pass attempt, at 7.5. Over the rest of the regular season, with Edelman sidelined, the Patriots were 21st in the league in the same category, at 5.9 yards per pass attempt.
