With the NBA Draft gone the way of the dinosaurs and free agency heating up, the Relatively Speaking Podcast is back to help sort through all the moves. Even better, it needs no offseason.
Since last week’s show ended approximately 11 minutes before the Kevin Durant to the Golden State Warriors news broke, the guys dissect the super-death-squad for the first time. Neither Jared or Joseph have an issue with Durant playing alongside other superstars, and while both think they are easily the favorites to win it all next season, they also think growing pains should be expected. Listen to hear why.
Also in huge free agency news, Dwyane Wade is moving from the warm weather of Miami for the Windy City of Chicago. Joseph thinks Pat Riley is to blame, but Jared wants everyone to love each other and then for some reason crushes Wade’s abilities as a player.
Bad Tweets, naturally, returns. It is Summer League heavy. Ben Simmons, Thon Maker, Bobby Portis, and so many other notable NBA players make appearances that it is like the regular season never actually ended.
Absurd Questions is patently absurd this week. Jared would like to know what — if anything — Joseph is looking forward to during the second half of the Major League Baseball season. If you’re looking for a normal, sane, and logical answer, well, this isn’t your type of podcast.
Joseph asks Jared what the world would look like if dinosaurs never got hit by the asteroid that wiped out their species. And, yes, Joseph brings Jeff Goldblum into the conversation.
Oh, and the guys discuss how having an underscore in your Twitter name makes you evil.
