Relatively Speaking Podcast: A-Rod, Olympics, besmirching Jordan

Hoping everyone had a fun and safe first Olympics weekend, the Relatively Speaking Podcast is back to help you cope with the fact that we will all be entering our respective figurative cubicles this Monday.

Sunday happened to be a rather fun sports day. WWE wrestlers were none too pleased with UFC superstar Conor McGregor. That put the non-scripted kicky-punch star in a not so favorable position, but is it worse than the people who tried to fly Delta on Monday Morning?

Alex Rodriguez is retiring on Friday… we think. Big news from the New York Yankees regardless. Joseph and Jared reminiscence about their favorite A-Rod tidbits.

Russell Westbrook is staying with the Oklahoma City Thunder for a few more seasons. That’s all fine and dandy, but the guys think you can take the narratives concerning loyalty and shove them right down your throat.

Bat Tweets this week: A bad tweeter calls Kevin Durant out for being weak (or something). Another bad tweeter hates A-Rod for being A-Rod, but in the most dull of ways.

The guys talk Olympics as well. Jared, who knew, is an expect on this subject. Listen to him name drop people you never heard of.

Absurd Questions: If you can have a “free pass” weekend — which includes no repercussions for murdering or pillaging — what would you do? The other: If you can create a cartoon TV show around an athlete, who would it be?

Oh, for what it is worth, Joseph and Jared not only besmirch Michael Jordan, but smirch him as well. So, yeah, MJ has been properly smirched.

Follow Jared on the Twitter machine @JMintzHoops.

If you think you need more of Joseph for some ungodly reason, find him @JosephNardone.
