Former University of Oklahoma quarterback Trevor Knight made an extensive announcement on his Twitter account today that he will be transferring to Texas A&M for his senior season:

In the 2013 season, Knight’s freshman season, he took over for Blake Bell in the Sugar Bowl, leading the Sooners to a 45-31 victory over A.J. McCarron and the University of Alabama. Knight was then the starter for most of his sophomore season in 2014, when the Sooners slumped to an 8-5 record despite being ranked fourth on the preseason Associated Press poll. In 2015, Knight only attempted 40 passes on the season as Texas Tech transfer Baker Mayfield grabbed ahold of the starter’s job.

Knight’s transfer comes shortly after Texas A&M’s freshman quarterback, Kyler Murray, announced that he was transferring to Oklahoma. Knight will be competing with sophomore quarterback Kyle Allen for the Aggies.

The most recent quarterbacks to come out of Oklahoma are Sam Bradford, impending free agent from the Philadelphia Eagles, and Landry Jones, who started his first career games this season in his third year with the Pittsburgh Steelers. the most recent quarterbacks to come out of Texas A&M are Ryan Tannehill of the Miami Dolphins and Johnny Manziel of the Cleveland Browns.
