The Relatively Speaking Podcast is back this week. For the first time in the history of the show, we have a guest. It is Sports Illustrated contributor, Jake Fischer, who covered his fourth NBA Draft this year and broke the news of some teams questioning the age of Thon Maker.
Per usual, the show opens up with some topical discussion. Mostly, that the second Independence Day is not called ID4 Two, which is not a shocker.
After the guys get their bearings, the polarizing Chicago Bulls-New York Knicks trade is discussed to the point of near nausea. Jared isn’t too thrilled about acquiring an aging former superstar and Joseph tends to agree.
Not too long after bashing the Knicks for being the Knicks, some NBA Draft discussion is had. Joseph is high on Wade Baldwin and Domantas Sabonis, but is down on Malachi Richardson. Basically, why his stats are so bad, yet the people who like him don’t actually have much to point to as to why. Jared is also high on Baldwin, but has a few questions relative to some other moves.
Then, finally, the show’s first guest comes on to give an inside look at the happenings in and around the NBA Draft. Jake provides some wonderful perspective and insight to the discussions being had. He also answers some questions that people might be more than interested to hear.
Somehow, magically even, we convinced Jake to stick around for Absurd Questions. The questions this week are most definitely absurd.
