On this week’s Fantasy Football Podcast, host Dave Holcomb provides the latest news surrounding the NFL, including the sad news out of Dallas that quarterback Tony Romo will be out with a broken back until midseason. As disappointing as that it for Romo owners, and really any owner with a Cowboys offensive player, their situation might not be too bleak due to a rookie quarterback out of Mississippi State, Dak Prescott.
Holcomb also discusses news updates for the quarterback situations in Denver, San Francisco and Arizona.
Then, the host ranks and tiers the top tight ends in the NFL, providing a list of the best 18 fantasy players at the position. New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski leads the way, but owners will have to sacrifice an early pick to acquire him. There are other elite tight ends going a few rounds later and some sleepers going even after that everyone must keep an eye on if they don’t land the crown jewel at tight end.
To wrap up this episode, Holcomb explains the strategies he would use when selecting defenses and kickers in fantasy drafts.
The Today’s Pigskin Fantasy Football Podcast with Holcomb has all your latest fantasy football news and stories every Monday Morning during the NFL calendar year. The 2016 season will be Holcomb’s sixth season hosting a weekly NFL podcast and second season as a fantasy football expert at Today’s Pigskin. Starting around training camp, the show runs through all the position rankings to identify those overhyped players and to find those hidden sleepers.
Holcomb also picks out a list of rookies he believes are worth owning in both re-draft and dynasty leagues. Then during the season, each episode includes a full breakdown of the top and bottom performances from every week along with a list of players to add on the waiver wire. Other fantasy football experts from Today’s Pigskin and other networks in the industry also make frequent guest appearances to provide further insight.
