Fantasy football podcast: Taking a look at struggling stud receivers

The top and bottom performers list returns to this Week 8 edition of Today’s Pigskin’s Fantasy Football Podcast with host Dave Holcomb.

Some of the usual studs made our list, but just because someone performed well in Week 8 doesn’t mean they are a great play moving forward. One great example of that would be quarterback Blake Bortles. Find out why he isn’t a reliable fantasy option next week despite the near 30-point outburst last Thursday.

In the second segment, Holcomb explores struggling stud receivers such as Bortles’ favorite target, Allen Robinson, and others with this week’s guest Max Zelenko. Making his first appearance of the season, Zelenko answers several pressing receiver questions and includes a list of three wideouts owners should target on the waiver wire.

Finally, Holcomb provides waive wire additions at the other three major fantasy positions to end this week’s show.

The Today’s Pigskin Fantasy Football Podcast with Holcomb has all your latest fantasy football news and stories every Monday Morning during the NFL calendar year. The 2016 season will be Holcomb’s sixth season hosting a weekly NFL podcast and second season as a fantasy football expert at Today’s Pigskin. Starting around training camp, the show runs through all the position rankings to identify those overhyped players and to find those hidden sleepers.

Holcomb also picks out a list of rookies he believes are worth owning in both re-draft and dynasty leagues. Then during the season, each episode includes a full breakdown of the top and bottom performances from every week along with a list of players to add on the waiver wire. Other fantasy football experts from Today’s Pigskin and other networks in the industry also make frequent guest appearances to provide further insight.

The show would love more fan participation. Listeners with questions or comments, please send tweet them to @dmholcomb or e-mail at holcombmdavid@gmail.com.
