FanRag Sports was honored to broadcast Patrick Peterson’s All-Star Classic live on Friday night at Top Golf in Gilbert, Arizona. Peterson hosted fellow Pro-Bowlers such as Calais Campbell, Ryan Caldy and plenty more past and present stars.
Birdgang Roadcrew’s founder Eric Polansky provided an inside look at the event and was able to interview the likes of Honey Badger Tyrann Mathieu, future Hall of Famer Kurt Warner, and the man who made it all happen, Patrick Peterson. The proceeds and donations from the event went to Peterson’s Foundation For Success, which provides low-income and inner-city youth with opportunities and resources.
Fittingly enough, Peterson won the 1st Annual All-Star Challenge and the $10,000 prize towards the foundation of his choice. You can guess where he sent the winnings.
In the midst of the busiest time of the year for the NFL, it was humbling to see so many athletes give their time to so many fans in Phoenix and their resources to such a fantastic cause.
It wasn’t all pretty on Friday night, though. Some players had silky smooth swings and could land the ball inches from the pin on every stroke. Others, well, should stick to football. We won’t name any names…
Most importantly, it was an enjoyable night for fans and players alike, all in the name of supporting a cause that everyone could get behind. Local heros John Skelton and Frankie Muniz mingled with fellow Phoenix-natives, raising awareness for a foundation that is making a huge difference in the Phoenix area and beyond.
Thanks to all who made the event so special and to those who tuned in to be a part of it all. If you didn’t get a chance to catch it live, you can watch the event here on FanRag Sports and learn more about Patrick Peterson’s Foundation For Success here.
