Carolina Panthers owner Jerry Richardson donated $10,000 to each of the nine victims’ families from the shooting in a church in Charleston, South Carolina.
The donations reached $100k when the team donated $10,000 to the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church, where the murders took place on Wednesday.
Bakari Sellers, a member of South Carolina’s House of Representatives, tweeted out the letter sent by Richardson.

The Panthers are located in North Carolina, but Richardson has always believed the team represented both North and South Carolina.
Nine victims were murdered when a gunman entered the church during a bible study and opened fire.
