[UPDATE]: After being ruled out for the remainder of Thursday’s contest, it has since been announced that Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry will not play on Friday against the Portland Trail Blazers.
All the Golden State Warriors had to do is get through the regular season healthy. As of Thursday night, that might no longer be the case.
Point guard Stephen Curry was hobbled in the first minutes of the team’s game against the San Antonio Spurs, and for a player with a history of lower-leg injuries, this could be a bit of a concern.

The Warriors had to survive the end of last season without the services of forward Kevin Durant, who eventually recovered in time to help the team claim the NBA Championship. They’d certainly like to not have to go through that again, and see Curry return as soon as possible.
Stephen Curry tweaked his right ankle. He is being re-taped and will perform functionality tests. His return is TBD.
