The Oklahoma State Cowboys football team finished the 2016 season with a 10-3 record.
Just don’t tell them that.
In their mind, and now on their Alamo Bowl rings, the team went 11-2, giving themselves credit for a win against Central Michigan. That game ended as a loss in the record books due to an officiating error that allowed the Chippewas to pull off a game-winning Hail Mary.
Let’s say this much: He’s not wrong. Considering the officials admitted after the game that the play should not have occurred, there seems little reason to not give the Cowboys the win. At least they’ll always have avoided that Hail Mary when it comes to their rings.
