Mets prospect Gavin Cecchini made Mets manager Terry Collins look like a genius Monday, hitting a pinch-hit, two-run homer off Dodgers starter Clayton Kershaw for his first major league home run.
Cecchini, who cut the Dodgers’ lead to three in the fifth inning, belted a Kershaw curveball over the left-field fence at Dodger Stadium, driving in Travis d’Arnaud as well.
