Prior to the start of Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals, the NBA released the three finalists for the league’s MVP award. Among them, the name of LeBron James was missing. And that really didn’t seem to bother him:

James and the Cavs proceeded to go out and lay a 44-point beat down on the Boston Celtics, complete with a 30-point effort from King James that pushed the series to a 2-0 lead and moved him two victories away from returning to the NBA Finals.
That Russell Westbrook, James Harden and Kawhi Leonard were named finalists ahead of him doesn’t seem to affect James, who has already won the honor on four occasions.
