Team Sweden’s William Nylander had an impressive 2016-17 NHL season, as he helped the Toronto Maple Leafs to the postseason for the second time in over a decade.
Fellow Sweden teammate Oliver Ekman-Larsson had a less fun season, losing his mom to terminal cancer just before the end of the season and missing out on the playoffs.
With opposite motivations for their excellent play at the World Championships, though, they’ve been dynamic so far – and their goal against Switzerland on Thursday is just one perfect example of that.

The tally helped put Sweden up 2-1 over Switzerland, with one period left to play against the fellow European roster.
Coyotes and Leafs fans everywhere, here’s your reminder you get to see these two all season next year.
