The 6-foot-6 slugger was annihilating the baseball at Triple-A to the tune of a .366 average to go along with 17 home runs and 82 RBI in 75 games. With New York struggling to find a first baseman, the 26-year-old Cooper was acquired and immediately plugged into the lineup, finally collecting his first hit on Sunday.
