The Los Angeles Dodgers and Miami Marlins are just starting a three-game series on Friday night and it appears there will be no shortage of fireworks. With the Dodgers ahead 7-0 in the ninth inning, Los Angeles right-hander Ross Stripling figured it was as good a time as any to drill Marlins slugger Giancarlo Stanton.
Only that didn’t work out quite like he planned:

Throwing at Stanton and then not running in fright? Not only that, but he shrugs it off and kind of randomly saunters towards him, as if he knows he just poked a sleeping bear. If nothing else, give Stripling credit for not backing down. But also acknowledge that throwing at people in a 7-0 game almost certainly never ends well.
