Peyton Manning is in the Mile High City. He met with John Elway, the Broncos vice president of football operations/general manager on Thursday, but no official announcement regarding Manning’s status for the 2015 NFL season has been made, yet.
Manning was flown to Denver on Broncos’ owner Pat Bowlen’s private plane from his home in New Orleans, where it’s been reported that he has been working out while performing passing drills.
The writing is on the wall and pending he passes his physical, which could take place very soon, it looks like No. 18 will be back with the Broncos for a fourth season, his 18th in the NFL.
On December 24th of last year Manning remarked he intended on returning “if the Broncos will have me,” but was not-so-committal following Denver’s 24-13 home loss to the Indianapolis Colts in the Divisional Round. The loss was Manning’s ninth career postseason one-and-done.
Both new coach Gary Kubiak and Elway have said they wanted Manning to return to the Orange and Blue this season and they may very soon get that wish.
