Despite speculation on how NFL commissioner Roger Goodell may change policy regarding the national anthem and whether players will be obligated to stand for it, a statement released on Wednesday confirmed that no decision has been made. Goodell will be at league meetings next week, alongside NFLPA executive director DeMaurice Smith.

The move comes in the wake of Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones announcing that he would bench any player who chooses not to stand for the anthem.

Don’t the Cowboys have enough troubles without Jerry making things worse? That this guy would even be considered for the HOF much less inducted, is a complete travesty. They can forget about having any title teams in Dallas as long as Jones is running the show.
