During the Wednesday practice round it’s become a right of passage to lay the ball on the embankment at No. 16 and skip the ball off the water towards the hole on the short Par-3. Former World No. 1 and two-time major champion Martin Kaymer famously holed out the skip in 2012.
Al Geiberger, the 1966 PGA Champion, happened to be an honorary invitee to Augusta National Golf Club this week and the 77-year old decided to try his hand at the trick shot and gave it a solid attempt. The 11-time PGA Tour winner skipped it twice and caught the fringe and rolled his ball up the ridge in the back of the green before watching it slowly trickle back to within 15-feet of the hole and FanRag Sports has exclusive video compliments of Erin McCormack.
