UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor hasn’t been one to shy away from the spotlight, as evidenced by some of his comments during the four-city press tour ahead of his boxing match with Floyd Mayweather that’s scheduled for Aug. 26 in Las Vegas.

On Friday it was announced by Universal Pictures that there are plans for a movie about McGregor’s life, although there were no specifics given regarding a release date. Also, it should be noted that Universal made the announcement on what is McGregor’s 29th birthday.

On Monday, McGregor teased the movie on his Instagram account, showing what appears to be the beginning of the film.

Here is another power move for you to get excited about. Happy Monday.

How much McGregor stands to make from next month’s fight remains to be seen, especially with there being a confidentiality clause regarding the purse. Those figures won’t be released officially until Aug. 25, and that won’t include what could be made from pay-per-view buys and the money gained from closed circuit telecasts of the fight.

However that hasn’t stopped some from estimating what McGregor could make from the fight, with UFC president Dana White estimating in April that McGregor could make at least $75 million with Mayweather making at least $100 million. But that was before there was an agreement for Mayweather and McGregor to fight, so the figures could be even higher on both ends.

Releasing the movie would provide McGregor with another revenue stream in what should be a lucrative 2017 for him financially. Another question: Has the movie already been completed, or has the ending not been added to account for the possibility of what would be a major upset?
