Seton Hall will face Texas Tech and Temple will play South Carolina in an Under Armour Event at Madison Square Garden on November 30th, multiple sources told FanRag Sports.
Official tip off times are yet to be determined.
The Pirates are ranked 19th in the FanRag Sports Preseason Top 25, while the Red Raiders are entering their second season under Chris Beard.
South Carolina returns its starting front court from last year’s group that reached the Final Four in Chris Silva and Maik Kotsar while Temple is expected to be one of the better teams in the American Conference with the return of fifth-year senior Josh Brown.
Seton Hall finished the season with a record of 21-12. As for the team’s play during Big East competition, the Pirates went 10-8. Seton Hall was able to do enough to earn an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament this season, but lost in the first round to the Arkansas Razorbacks.
As for the Red Raiders, Texas Tech went 18-14 during the 2016-17 college basketball season. The program missed the NCAA Tournament. It was only year one of the Beard era at the university. Prior to joining the program, Beard took Arkansas-Little Rock to the NCAA Tournament in his only other season as a head coach.
