Free agents Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Rajon Rondo met with the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday, according to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst and Adrian Wojnarowski.

Windhorst reports that Caldwell-Pope has garnered interest from several teams since he was granted his unrestricted free agency by the Detroit Pistons last week. The team elected to renounce his rights after they acquired Avery Bradley from the Boston Celtics, as they were unwilling to match a potential max offer of $24 million per season for Caldwell-Pope.

Caldwell-Pope, 24, would fill some of the void for the Lakers left by Nick Young, who signed with the Golden State Warriors in free agency. Los Angeles currently has Jordan Clarkson, David Nwaba and Josh Hart at shooting guard. Caldwell-Pope was drafted by the Pistons with the eighth overall pick of the 2013 NBA Draft out of Georgia and has averaged 11.7 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.6 assists over four seasons.

The Brooklyn Nets and Atlanta Hawks also reportedly have an interest in Caldwell-Pope. The Hawks have some open cap space after Paul Millsap signed with the Denver Nuggets and Tim Hardaway Jr. signed with the New York Knicks.

Rondo would provide the Lakers with another facilitator to work alongisde the team’s No. 2 overall pick in this year’s draft, Lonzo Ball. The Bulls waived Rondo after one season with the team, in which he averaged 7.8 points, 5.1 rebounds and 6.7 assists.

The Knicks have also been reported to be interested in the 31-year-old four-time All-Star. The Lakers would be Rondo’s fourth team in as many years. He hasn’t made an All-Star appearance since 2013 with the Boston Celtics.
