English goalkeeper Joe Hart has passed his physical ahead of his loan move from Manchester City to West Ham, according to a Monday afternoon report from Sky Sports. As a result, it appears as though the veteran net-minder will now spend at least the next season at West Ham while a potential buyout down the road still looms.

“Hart is set to join on a season-long loan, although it is understood West Ham will have an option to buy the England international next summer,” writes Sky Sports.

Although coming over to West Ham by way of Manchester City, the 30-year-old goalkeeper most recently spent time with Serie A’s Torino while being “deemed surplus to requirements at Manchester City following the arrival of manager Pep Guardiola.” It is also worth noting that Manchester City previously inked Claudio Bravo to serve as their top goalkeeper before once again adding to their depth by signing Brazil’s Ederson to mind the net going forward.

As a result, there was no more room for Hart as West Ham, another English Premier League club, has managed to land his services in the end.

While technically remaining with Manchester City since all the way back in 2006, Hart is no stranger to being loaned out across Europe. Since 2007, he has been loaned to Tranmere Rovers, Blackpool, Birmingham City and the aforementioned Torino. Over the years, he has also notably suited up for England’s national team at three different levels – U19, U21 and the highest level of competition as well.
