John Calipari’s club consistently comes through in the clutch.
The Wildcats pursuit of perfection continued on Tuesday night in Athens as thousand of loyal Bulldogs fans were aching to knock off Kentucky and storm the court, but Georgia simply didn’t make as many plays as their unbeaten foes down the stretch.
Kentucky was down seven with 11 minutes to play, but used transition buckets and timely offensive rebounds to pull away and beat Georgia 72-64 for their 30th straight victory to open the season, becoming the 13th Division 1 school to accomplish that feat.
“You have kids here who have a will to win, they believe they’re going to win, and they made the plays they needed to make,” coach John Calipari said.
My beloved Wildcats are 30-0. And that's just awesome. That's why snow or no snow, the sun is shining bright in My Old Kentucky Home. #BBN

Wichita State went unbeaten last season through regular season and conference tournament play and entered March Madness at 34-0. After winning their first game the Shockers fell in the round of 32. Something tells America this Kentucky team won’t fail to make the Sweet Sixteen.
