American soccer star Jozy Altidore has been added to the National Team’s training camp roster leading up to friendlies against Chile and Panama. The addition was announced today by Team USA Jurgen Klinsmann shortly after the electric forward completed a transfer deal to MLS and Toronto FC from the Premier League and Sunderland.
Altidore’s deal with Toronto is reportedly for five years and roughly $30M, placing him among the highest paid MLS players.
With the addition of Altidore the U.S. team now boasts eight veterans from the World Cup roster including Clint Dempsey, Michael Bradley, and Jermaine Jones.
