On his final hole of the afternoon, No. 10 ranked player in the world Jason Day fell to the ground before receiving medical attention for what appeared to be an episode resulting from vertigo.
Day has battled vertigo in recent weeks and appeared to faint on hole No. 9. It took several minutes before Day could get to his feet again with the help from his golf club that he used as a crutch. Day finished the hole with a two-putt bogey.
He finished the round with an even par 70. He’s tied for 10th at two-under, five strokes behind leader Dustin Johnson.
Three weeks ago, Day had to withdraw from the Byron Nelson after experiencing dizziness.
