Jaguars’ DE Jared Odrick, TE Julius Thomas both questionable

The Jaguars play the Titans on Thursday Night Football, and they’ve put both DE Jared Odrick and TE Julius Thomas on the injury report. Both are questionable to play.

Last week, Odrick was also questionable, and he played anyway. He was dealing with a hip injury. Now, he has a quad injury, but he very well could play again since he’s already shown that he’s happy to play through some discomfort. The Jags may just keep listing him this way until he’s back at 100 percent. He was not at practice today or yesterday, though.

Thomas also wasn’t at practice yesterday, though he was able to practice on a limited basis today. He has an ankle injury. That’s very common for him, and it’s part of the reason the Denver Broncos let him walk in free agency two years ago. He’s very good when healthy, but he’s constantly banged up and it really limits his production. The Jags gave him a big contract anyway, and he’s been hurt for parts of both seasons, so they’re learning how it is with him.

That said, he does seem to be trending in the right direction, so he could also play.

Overall, the Jaguars have to feel pretty good about where they are from a health standpoint, even if their record isn’t what they hoped for. Some teams have extensive lists of players on the PUP and IR lists, and they’ve been one of those teams in previous years. This season, they’re pretty healthy and just have a few minor issues.
