Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig re-injured his hamstring on Friday after awkwardly stepping on the first base bag, and he was placed on the 15-day disabled list on Sunday. Puig will be joined there by right-handed pitcher Joel Peralta who has dead arm, according to Ken Gurnick of MLB.com:
Puig and Peralta DL.

Puig has battled smaller injuries throughout his three-year career thus far, but none have forced him to miss extended time. He was replaced on Friday by Andre Ethier, who should see the bulk of the time at Puig’s spot in the lineup in his absence.
The Dodgers close out their series with the Padres today before hosting the San Francisco Giants in a three-game set.
