The Cleveland Cavaliers will never reach full strength this postseason, but it won’t get any worse after finding out Iman Shumpert and Matthew Dellavedova will be healthy enough to play in Game 4.
Dellavedova, coming off a much-needed 20-point performance, was admitted into the Cleveland Clinic for severe dehydration. Dellavedova received IV treatments and rejoined the team on Wednesday.
Shumpert left Game 3 after running into a screen set by Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green. He left the game with a shoulder injury before returning later in the game. An MRI revealed a bruise, but there was immediate concern knowing it was the same shoulder he separated earlier in the season.
With Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love already out for the remainder of the playoffs, the Cavs can ill-afford an injury to anyone, especially key contributors like Shumpert and Dellavedova.
The Cavaliers hold a 2-1 series lead. Game 4 will be played on Thursday in Cleveland.
