With a 71-51 win over the Purdue Boilermakers, the Wisconsin Badgers have set themselves up for a legitimate shot at not only a Big Ten title but a No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament as well.
The win moved Wisconsin to 30-3 on the season. Four players scored in double figures, led by Bronson Koenig with 19.
With the losses by Duke and Virginia, Wisconsin may be able to inch closer to a No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament. Kentucky, obviously, is locked in. It’ll come down to Duke, Virginia, Villanova and perhaps a sleeper of Arizona or Kansas.
The resume certainly says enough to earn one, and the play against Purdue spoke volumes as well.
Badgers wake up, pound Purdue in second half, win 71-51. This is what Wisconsin does. Badgers have real shot at No. 1 seed with win Sunday.
