Mississippi State’s Quinndary Weatherspoon is expected to start tonight versus Oregon State, a source told FanRag Sports.

The Bulldogs announced that Weatherspoon would miss the rest of the 2016-17 season last week, but now the sophomore seems determined to return to the court.

The 6-4 guard is a potential All-SEC first-team player and averaged 18.8 points and 5.0 rebounds in four games this season.

Mississippi State went 1-1 in the two games he missed last week and is 4-2 overall.

The Bulldogs are also expected to get Louisiana Tech Xavian Stapleton back in December.

Mississippi State hosts the Beavers (3-4) tonight. The Bulldogs are coming off a 65-59 win over Northwestern State.

After tonight’s game, Mississippi State will host Georgia State on Sunday. After a 10-day layoff in between games, the Bulldogs will host East Tennessee State on Dec. 14 and travel to Southern Miss on Dec. 19.
