Cincinnati Bearcats head coach Mick Cronin loves Sean Kilpatrick as much as any player he’s ever coached, and the current Brooklyn Net may be cut from a similar cloth as sophomore Jarron Cumberland.

“They’re very similar,” Cronin said Monday on the College Hoops Today Podcast. “The thing to remember is that Sean was older. He went to prep school and then he red shirted. But Jarron is similar to him in the sense that he doesn’t lack confidence. He’s going to keep playing and keep shooting regardless of what happens. He has a strong sense of belief.”

Cumberland averaged 8.3 points last season as a freshman, when the Bearcats won 30 games as well as a game in the NCAA Tournament.

The Bearcats are currently ranked No. 9 in the FanRag Sports Preseason Top 25.
