Move over Bartolo Colon and Noah Syndergaard, New York Mets right-hander Jacob deGrom is now officially on the board. On Sunday afternoon against the rival Washington Nationals, the prolific right-hander hit his first career big-league home run (177th MLB at-bat).

While doing so against the Nationals’ Joe Ross, deGrom’s solo shot to left field traveled an approximate 379 feet. Coming in the bottom half of the third inning at Citi Field, the memorable blast also tied the National League East showdown at one run apiece.
