LeBron James Committed to Winning Championship in Cleveland

LeBron James is expected to opt out of his current contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers this summer, but he is expected to return to the team on a new deal. Although James and the Cavaliers fell two wins shy of accomplishing their ultimate goal, the drive to bring an NBA title to Cleveland is as strong as ever.

“Being back home is everything that I dreamed of, everything that I thought about,” James said in a Bleacher Report video. “Being back with these fans, being back with this community, just being back here and trying to bring joy to this city, which deserves it. Bringing a sense of pride to this city, which deserves it. Giving this city something to talk about, which they deserve.”

James said that while he is not happy with the way the season ended, he is proud of his team. Making it all the way to the NBA Finals in the first year with this group was quite an accomplishment.

“Hopefully I can put our team in position once again to try to compete for a championship next year and year in and year out,” James said. “That’s my goal, and my inspiration hasn’t changed.”
