Things continued to go from bad to worse for Lawrence Taylor on Monday, as the Hall of Fame linebacker pleaded guilty to a DUI with injury or property damage from a September crash in West Palm Beach Fla., per the Palm Beach Post.

Taylor’s plea deal includes him spending a year on probation, suspension of his driver’s licence for nine months and the installation of ignition interlock device on his vehicle for six months.

The former three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year crashed his 2010 Bentley Convertible on Florida’s Turnpike and Florida Highway Patrol troopers claimed that he hit two vehicles, one of which was a patrol car, before being stopped.

Taylor, 58, was put through two Breathalyzer tests five hours after the crash, blowing a .082 on the first test and a .084 on the second test, with the legal limit being .08. He will also be due to pay approximately $1,500 dollars and perform community service, along with probation, per the Palm Beach Post.

One of the most prolific pass rushers in NFL history, Taylor has struggled with legal issues since retiring in 1993. He was a 10-time First-team All-Pro, two-time Super Bowl champion with the New York Giants and was voted the NFL’s MVP in 1986. He also admitted to struggling with substance-abuse problems during his 13-year NFL career.

Taylor has previously had numerous run-ins with the law. He was arrested in 2009 in Miami-Dade County after leaving the scene of an accident, a crime that he also committed in 1996. In 2010 he was also charged with felony third-degree statutory rape after an incident at a hotel in New York.
