Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid’s had some things to say about LaVar Ball, the father of Los Angeles Lakers point guard Lonzo Ball, in the past including a comment made about him during an appearance in July. With the Lakers visiting the 76ers Thursday night, there was the chance that Embiid and the patriarch of the Ball family would cross paths.
Surely enough they did, exchanging an embrace and some kind words after the Lakers’ 107-104 win with Brandon Ingram’s 3-pointer with eight-tenths of a second remaining being the difference.

Embiid finished the game with 33 points, seven rebounds, six assists and five blocked shots. As for Lonzo Ball, he had the assist on Ingram’s game-winner and finished with 10 points, eight rebounds, eight assists, four blocks and three steals.
