A week for the Busch family got worse after a wreck in an Xfinity Series race injured Kyle Busch and knocked him out of the Daytona 500.
Busch hit a wall that didn’t have the SAFER barrier. The wreck resulted in a broken right leg and broken left ankle.
This adds to a week that already saw Kyle’s brother Kurt suspended indefinitely from NASCAR after a domestic violence case.
Matt Crafton will replace Kyle Busch in the Daytona 500.
Drivers took to Twitter to wish Busch well, including Brad Keselowski:
Just hearing about @KyleBusch going to hospital.
All rivalries aside, get well soon. We have a lot of racing against each other to do!
