Keith Bogans to Sign With NBDL

Reports indicate that former NBA veteran Keith Bogans will be entering the NBDL in an attempt to make his way back into the Association:

Bogans last played in the NBA with the 2013-14 Boston Celtics, who acquired Bogans in the same trade that saw Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce go to the Brooklyn Nets. Bogans, who was in his 11th NBA season at the time, was unhappy to be participating in what was then the first stages of a Celtics rebuild, and appeared in just six games for the team.

Following that season, Bogans — who had two more years on his contract, although they were unguaranteed — was traded first to the Cleveland Cavaliers and then to the Philadelphia 76ers, who waived him before he appeared in any games. Bogans would have made $10.5 million over those two seasons — a substantial amount, considering his $20.09 million career earnings.

Fellow mid-thirties veteran Baron Davis had been reported to be entering the NBDL earlier this week, but now Davis’ agent is reporting that the paperwork has not yet been officially filed.
