The Detroit Tigers led 5-0 on Saturday night. Then, they trailed 11-6. Finally, they led 12-11 and the night was over as Justin Upton jogged around the bases after clobbering a walk-off two-run home run.

For Upton, it was his 22nd blast of the season and it helped Detroit stave off a crushing defeat in what has been a down season.

With Miguel Cabrera leaving the game early due to back tightness, Upton made sure the game didn’t get to Cabrera’s spot in the lineup, ending new Twins closer Matt Belisle’s night with a loss.
