Most hockey fights look something like a drunken brawl between two relatives. This one involving John Hayden and Marcus Foligno, though, resembled something much closer to state-sanctioned boxing.
The pair got into it during the second period of Thursday night’s game between the Chicago Blackhawks and Minnesota Wild, with Hayden landing a right blow to Foligno’s chin that’s normally reserved for the ring.

Yikes. Both players received five-minute majors for fighting, of course, but we’re just glad Foligno was healthy enough to skate to the box.
The Blackhawks and Wild are all tied up at 0-0 late in the second period.
