Jameis Winston still can’t escape the alleged rape accusations he’s been under from an act that took place in 2012, according to the accuser.
Erica Kinsman, who claims that Winston raped her on December 7th in 2012, filed a lawsuit in an Orlando circuit court claiming sexual battery, assault, false imprisonment and intentional infliction of emotional distress arising out of forcible rape. She’s seeking damages resulting in over $15,000.
Winston was a student at Florida State at the time, but the original report to police wasn’t fully investigated for nine months after Kinsman went to police the night of the alleged rape. Now Winston is expected to be a top pick in the NFL Draft–potentially the top pick overall.
David Cornwell, Winston’s adviser, has said Winston will file a counter claim for extortion and defamation.
