Houston Astros Turn Triple Play (VIDEO)

In Saturday afternoon’s game against the Detroit Tigers, the Houston Astros got out of a jam by turning a 5-4-3 triple play to end the fifth inning. The Tigers held a 2-1 lead with two runners on at the time, but went on to lose the game 3-2 after Houston scored two runs in the top of the following inning.

Ian Kinsler grounded into the triple play, as the ball traveled from Jonathan Villar to Jose Altuve to Chris Carter. The play came one batter after a throwing error by Altuve allowed Detroit to score its second run of the game.
